Our annual Chanukah trip to the Golan Heights drew a large group of children in various stages of remission from their terrible illnesses. We took children from dialysis wards along with their head nurse from Shaare Zedek, as well child victims of cancer from Hadassah Hospital and Schneiders childrens hospital in Petach Tikvah.

The action packed trip included a stop at Mini Israel, a trip out to sea on a first class boat. Lunch was served in the old port of Yafo in a beautiful quaint fish restaurant right on the waterfront. A tour of the high windows on the 50 th floor of the Azrieli Center followed, thanks to Israel's top lawyer Mr. Yigal Arnon. He graciously prepared a nice party for the group, and allowed us an inside tour of his offices and library.

We then were hosted by the Ministry of Defence and treated to a party with Chanukah candle lighting by the Minister of Defence Mr. Amir Peretz. Glamour model Agam Rothberg was at hand to entertain and pose for and with the children.

We stayed at the Nachsholim resort Hotel where we were treated excellently by the staff, along with a great breakfast. Then we continued up North to the kiddy park in Yagur, called Balagan, where thekids had amazing fun all day. We then sped up North to Kibbutz Keshet high up on the Golan heights, where we were treated to a show and lunch.

The trip culminated with a tour of a key army base up at the top of the Golan heights, with a grand party, candle lighting, and show put on specially for the kids by the Israel Defence Force troup.
